Our shared worship each week is something that comes together with the energy, creativity and time of many volunteers.  And I know that we are all grateful for that, even if we don't always see or understand just how many people play a role.

Whether you have helped before or not, please prayerfully consider where you could be involved.  And remember, you only have to volunteer as you are able - we are happy to make the schedule work for you!  Where needed, you will be provided with training and support.

Server

We currently have two servers and will thus be moving to some services without a server.  Servers offer support to the priest by being available to help throughout the service as needed.  They help with setting the table for the eucharist, offering the chalice at communion and with any other suprise vacancies - like reading, offering prayers - as they are able.  Young and old alike are invited to serve.

Intercessors

Our intercessors lead us in the prayers of the people each week.  Some prepare their own prayers, some use prayers provided by the priest - this is entirely up to the intercessor and their comfort level.  We currently are down to 3 intercessors, so our priest will join this team until we can bring on at least one to two more intercessors.

Music and Choir

Music has always been a central part of any worhsip, and particularily at Ascension.  The choir is always happy to welcome new members so please consider sharing your musical abilities.  And if you are a musician who would like to play your instrument from time to time with the choir, please let Michelle know - we would love that!

Coffee Hour

We love our coffee and our time together after services.  We are always happy to welcome more people to help with coffee hour.  This entails coming early to set up and start the coffee, put it out and then clean up after.  If you are interested please speak to Ken Laroza.
