Join people from across the Diocese for a free online Lenten book study on Encampment: Resistance, Grace, and an Unhoused Community by the Rev. Canon Maggie Helwig. This study series aims to deepen participants’ understanding of the complex issue of homelessness and inspire them, in the light of the Gospel, to seek justice for and solidarity with those who are unhoused. It will be held on five Wednesday evenings in Lent from Feb. 25 to March 25.
On June 9th, Maggie Helwig will be hosted at the Scugog Library here in Port Perry as a visiting Author as part of the "Heart of the Story" series.
Whether or not you can be part of the book study, this is an excellent book to read and we are blessed to have such talented authors in our midst! Thanks to Lucy Black's (another great author!) newsletter for sharing Maggie's visit with us in June.
