The last residential school closed only 30 years ago. On September 30th our country takes time to remember, reflect and commit to a path of healing for the sake of all the children who never came home from residential schools, for the children who did come home with broken hearts, bodies and souls, and for all the families and communities that were impacted negatively by this system.
As we have done in recent years, the church will be open from 11 am - 1 pm for prayer, reflection and silence.
Consider dropping in for a few minutes on Wednesday September 30th as we commit together on the pathways of healing for all people and on this day, for our Indigenous sisters and brothers.
