Coldest Night of the Year 2021
On February 20 The Flying Ascenders will be walking with hundreds more across the country to raise funds to battle homelessness. During this time of COVID-19 when we are severely limited in what we can do in the community this walk provides a great opportunity to support an extremely worthwhile cause. The fear of losing a home, or even finding a bed for the night, has increased dramatically during this pandemic.
The Church of Ascension has supported North House for many years in a variety of activities and fundraisers. It has also had volunteers participate for this walk annually. If you are unable to walk with us maybe you would be willing to donate a few dollars to one of our team. At the moment Cheryl Marek, Anne Lane, Ruthanne (and her noisy dog Kali) and myself will be tramping the roads - and hopefully not shivering too much.
