It's that time of year! Time to get ready for our annual Christmas Bazaar, now called "Christmas Craft & Bake Sale". We have a number of vendors who will be renting tables and selling their wares. But we also have a need for everyone in the parish to participate in the way that they can. Here are some things to be thinking about and getting ready:
Sue Gower and Mary Margaret Walters are looking for books for the Book Table. Have a look at your book shelves: for Best Sellers, a favourite you might like to write a note in to tell why you liked it. You may have a series you would like to donate. We are looking for current books. There will be a bin in the Hall to put them in. It’s a great way to share the books you have enjoyed.
As always, we are happily collecting bottles for the bottle table. Feel free to donate the usual: wine, sauces, body wash etc. But we also welcome the unusual: a large jar full of chocolates, a large jar full of craft supplies or whatever you can imagine!
Items will be collected in the church Hall - look for the bin this Sunday onward.
We have always offered a great selection at the bake table and we usually sell out. Please put on your chef's hat and bring in some of your baked goods. Keep an eye on the newsletter and an ear out during announcements for when to drop off.
We also welcome baked good, especially pies, that can be frozen and sold frozen. People appreciate that for their holiday planning. Feel free to bake when you have the time and energy and bring your items in to place in the freezers - with a note that they are for the bazaar.
As always, please indicate major allergens like: milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and eggs.
Rather than put gift baskets together ahead of time, we will be offering a table with small items that can be put together and made into a gift basket (along with items sold by our vendors). If you have baskets at home that you are not using, please bring them in to donate to this table.
