Welcome to this Sunday's service! We are glad you are here.
This week’s service is similar to last week’s. The service is based on a form of Morning Prayer using some resources from The New Zealand Prayer Book, others from The Abingdon Worship Annual.
We learned recently that many hymns are copyrighted and cannot be placed as a link in our services. When we are unable to do so, moving forward, we will provide the title and words. You are certainly welcome to go to YouTube yourself and search for this hymn so you can have some music to accompany you.
Let love guide your path, for love is the holiest path of all.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen.
Opening Hymn. Be Thou My Vision
(Please go to YouTube and search for this favourite hymn to sing along to)
Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
naught be all else to me, save that thou art--
thou my best thought by day or by night,
waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.
2 Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word;
I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord;
thou my great Father, I thy true son;
thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one.
3 Be thou my battle shield, sword for my fight;
be thou my dignity, thou my delight,
thou my soul's shelter, thou my high tow'r:
raise thou me heav'n-ward, O Pow'r of my pow'r.
4 Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
thou mine inheritance, now and always:
thou and thou only, first in my heart,
High King of heaven, my treasure thou art.
5 High King of heaven, my victory won,
may I reach heaven's joys, O bright heav'n's Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
still be my vision, O Ruler of all.
Holy God, we come to this day, into this sacred moment and sacred space, aware that your holiness is always around us. As Moses before us, when we turn aside from our daily tasks, and we listen for your holy voice, speak to us in holy mystery. Surround us with your wondrous love, that we might be wise enough to understand your call and be brave enough to follow your path. Amen

God of mercy, we have sinned against you and against others. We have sinned in what we have done, and in what we have failed to do. We are truly sorry. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, forgive us all that is past and raise us to newness of life. Amen.
Through the cross of Christ, remember that God has had mercy upon you, pardoned you, and set you free. Know that you are forgiven and be at peace. God strengthen you in all goodness and keep you in life eternal. Amen
In gratitude for your amazing works in the world, we offer our gifts to further your work, Holy One. Bless us as you blessed Moses before us, that we may be a blessing of your holy work. Guide our steps, and bless the offerings we bring, that the world may be touched by your holy voice. Amen
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen
God sends us to serve. Here I am, ready to serve!
God sends us to love. Here I am, ready to love!
God sends us to bless the world. Here I am, ready to bless the world and be blessed!
