Thank You on Volunteer Week

Volunteer Appreciation Week gives an opportunity to recognize the many volunteers who make Church of the Ascension a special place.  We are blessed with members who share their talents, skills, commitment and dedication.  Thank you to Cliff Moon, our property guy and his team, Chancel Guild, Ann Miles for her creative touches to our Sunday Service Bulletins, Bev Muir for picking up and dropping off our mail,  Pastoral Care team, Live Streaming team,  Intercessors, Readers, Servers, Sidespeople, Envelope Secretary Pat Hasler, Outreach & Mission team, Buddy Program Leaders, Sue Tremayne-Moon Treasurer, and Newsletter Editor Susan van Tijn, and the Wardens.

I’m sure you will agree that it difficult to sit on our hands and not applaud the choir after each hymn.  Under the direction of Elizabeth Lambert, our Music director, the choir fills and lifts our Church with beautiful sounds of worship.  Thank you, Music Worship team.  

The saying, “It takes a village to raise….” can be restated, “It takes a village to raise a Church”.  We are always wanting to add to our “village” and welcome new members to our great community.

Although Volunteer Appreciation Week occurs once a year, volunteers past, present and future are appreciated all year through.
