Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful;

and kindle in us the fire of your love.

Opening Hymn -  Breathe on me, Breath of God

Gathering of the Community

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of us, now and evermore.  Amen.

With rushing wind and holy fire...

       Come, Holy Spirit, come.

With tongues of flame and hopes rekindled...

       Come, Holy Spirit, come.

With visions birthed and dreams restored...

         Come, Holy Spirit, come.

With spacious grace and depth untold....

         Come, Holy Spirit, come.

With rushing wind and holy fire....

         Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Let us pray.

God of wind and fire, on this day of the Spirit's coming, we remember your Easter promise to not leave us on our own.  As your Spirit moves in our midst, may our hearts, our actions, our words, inspire the sight of your loving presence throughout this hurting world.  May we all feel the breath of your presence on this day of Pentecost.  We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Saviour, Amen.

The Offertory Prayer

For opening your hand, and blessing us with your manifold blessings, we give you thanks, O God.  On this day of Pentecost, may our gifts bring dreams and visions to a  world in need of hope and direction.  And may our hearts overflow with rivers of living water.  Amen.

The Lord's Prayer

On the day of Pentecost, many churches have parishioners either read or pray in their native tongue.  We invite you to pray the Lord's Prayer in a language familiar and comfortable to you this day.
