Save the date! Saturday June 21.  Scugog Pride is fast approaching and the North Durham Pride team is so excited to have the Church of Ascension support their event again this year in conjunction with the Durham Affirming Churches of which we are a member. It will be a busy day, kicking off at 10 am with the Pride March down Queen Street to Palmer Park. There will be a number of activities, music and fun stuff happening throughout the day in the Park for young and old. Details are still being finalized but in order to  have a great day, volunteers are needed for the following tasks:

8 am    Setting up in Palmer park (putting out tables and  chairs, helping vendors)
10 am  Marshalling the Pride March and handing out flags, walking with the Affirming Churches banner during the parade
4 pm take down in the Park at the end of the event
A number of fun activities happening in the park during the day will require volunteers as well (Bouncy Castle, activity and display booths)
If you can assist with any of these tasks, even for a short time, please let Bev Brown (bevybrn72@gmail.com) know and she'll have more details soon. 
With many hands assisting, it will be a great day for all.
