Holy Week is very much a journey.  We walk, alongside Jesus so to speak, and watch the terrible drama of God's love unfold.  If we make such a journey with open eyes and a seeking heart, we find God moving us along our own pathways of life and freedom.

Engage Holy Week as you are able.  Whether it is reading scripture each day, or listening to the music of Easter, or joining in with various Holy Week services, be attentive to how the resurrected Christ comes to you in this Holy Season.

Watch your inbox throughout the week for information offering you an opporunity to join the community in this prayerful journey.

Here's a bit of what you will see...

Palm Sunday - Online service via YouTube - Service Outline and YouTube Link will be emailed to you on Saturday.

Holy Monday & Tuesday - A reading and reflection will be in your inbox.

Holy Wednesday - The Reading of the Passion - At 10:00 am (regular bible study time) - for those who can join us this will be a simple reading of the passion narrative (which we often do on Palm Sunday) with interspersed prayers.  Whether you are part of Bible Study or not, please join us.  For those who would like to participate as readers, please email Ruthanne - ruthanne@ascensionportperry.com

Maundy Thursday - We will send you links to the Cathedral service which will include spiritual communion and the stripping of the altar.

Good Friday - Shared Virtual Service with Christ Church, Oshawa and St. Paul's-on-the-Hill, Pickering.  Link to service on YouTube will be sent out.

Easter Sunday - In Person & Online!  We will be gathering in person at the church for 9 am and 11 am service (masks required, and only 23 people can attend at a time).  Online registration, through Eventbrite,  for these services will be made available on Monday.  The 11 am service will be livestreamed through our YouTube site.
