As the temperature begins to plunge it is the perfect time to think about The Coldest Night of the Year which will be taking place on February 26th. The Church of Ascension has supported this fundraiser for several years now, and everything we raise goes to North House. In fact, it is probably their biggest fundraiser.
Last year we had three walkers but I am very much hoping we can encourage a few more people to participate this year. There is no fee to take part, and anyone who manages to raise a $150 receives a toque - a lovely yellow one this year. As with last year, there will be no organized route, but the walk will be a “virtual” one. That is not to say that friends couldn’t get together and share the fun. And if you can’t walk, please consider donating.
