ACW NEWS

We would like to inform the parish of recent developments with regards to the Anglican Church Women's group at Church of the Ascension.

Through a letter from the Corresponding Secretary of the ACW, and from the minutes of the meeting (which are posted by the door to the church hall) the Incumbent and the Wardens were informed that at the May 9th, 2005 meeting a discussion was held about the question of continuation of the group. Following discussion an open vote was held and the majority of those present indicated they were in favour of disbanding.

Therefore, effective May 9th, 2005 Church of the Ascension no longer has an active ACW group. Records and related memorabilia will be kept on the church premises and will be made available to any future ACW group.
